Hello everyone, My name is xxx. I'm a system engineer from China. This is my first time to give a speech.I really appreciate the host andteachers who provide this opportunity. Today'stopic is, would you respond if colleagues gossip about you in a public restroom? ltreminds me of my first year after graduation. One day I entered the office.Unexpected tohear my name mentioned by a story.

The eye was giving a lap dance to the boss atour annuaI year end party. It was like a suddenfog had rolled into my mind, stealing away thewords on the tip of my tongue.Fortunately, lhad goalless colleagues who stood by mehelped to refilI the baseless claim. The truth is,I had simply gotten tipsy and before I knew it,

I was leaning on the dining table for a quicknap. I realized that the best answer was torespond with a right approach if the gossip isharmless and based on the truth i could the matter of outlook in the style of relating orworking efficiency i may ask for their suggestions and judge if it's beneficiaI to mehowever if someone tend to be Spreadingrumors with malicious intent. I'lI have to setthe record straight to end the rumours.Furthermore, try to reach out the person inprivate, aiming at clearing the air andbreaking the ice.As the saying goes, morefriends, more roads, fewer enemies and fewerwars.By alI the effort I have made to eliminatemisunderstandings, if the situation growseven worse, I should calI for other colleagues support to take it under control, in my opinionto give respond to gossip especially.

Rather than to keep silent is one way to protect oneself. If gossip escalates to rumor orcrosses an intolerable line, a serious responseis warranted to assert our principles and establish boundaries. Staying silent fosters anegative workplace culturaI which may lead tofurther gossip and more victims. Gossip akinto a black sheep in the company.Society'scollective responsibility to uphold a mentallyhealthy workplace. That's all, thanks for listening.
